Biography

Howdy! Originally from Rhode Island, I earned my B.A. in Environmental Studies and Geology from Middlebury College in Vermont. Since graduating, I’ve spent time working for the National Park Service and other organizations, focused primarily on better understanding changes in our snowpack amidst worsening climate and human pressures. I also made time to pursue personal goals, such as bike touring and long-distance hiking. At OSU, I will be studying the impacts of burn scars on snow water equivalent in the Oregon Cascades using a variety of field measurements and numerical tools. I believe strongly in tying my work to management and outreach goals, and am excited to continue this as a part of CryoSIGHT. If you want to talk about snow or related topics, please reach out! In my free time, you can likely find me riding my bike, backcountry skiing, or taking pub trivia just a little bit too seriously.
